OEM Spark Plug P/N
I am at 64,000 and would like to replace my spark plugs. The manual says the part number is AC Delco 41-990, but AC Delcos website and Amazon says its 41-109. Also, the manual says 0.043" gap, is this the best gap to run I assume?
Can anyone tell me with certainty which is correct? Also, no reason to change the wires right now is there? I don't have any huge issues besides not great gas mileage, I just feel its about time and want to keep my car in peak condition. Thanks! Last edited by jwoair23; 05-07-2013 at 04:06 AM. |

Amazon FTW! You want the 41-109's and the gap is correct.
There aren't any wires to replace- a seperate "coil" sits on each plug. Torque each plug to 10 ft/lbs and have fun! |

Perfect thank you! I just watched the 3 part video series someone made on here about how to do this, so I feel very confident I can tackle the job. This forum is fantastic!

After doing some searching, as an FYI, Autozone is currently carrying these for $7 a plug, with a $2 mail in rebate per plug, so it works out to $30/set. Not too shabby!
Also just an FYI, the video tutorial I was talking about is here by another forum member: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101911 |

Just changed these out, really really easy! First plugs I have ever done, everything is very accessible on this car. I bought a long spark plug socket with a long extension that made this really simple.
Just some words of encouragement for other DIY'ers! |
