To GM: What can make Camaros better

Wanted to start a thread to request feedback of what you would like to see in changed or added to the current Camaro. (standard or optional )

Here are a few things I think it should have...
-Sunglasses holder = This is a basic on many other cars.
-Those sun visors are a joke, they should fold out to become larger.
-Radio controls on left of wheel not right. It makes much more sense.
-Needs lane change alert system, massive blind spots.
-Sunroof opens to top of roof which is ugly. Not much room but should hide inside roof.

Thx

I agree with all of them except the last one. I dont want to think how much LESS head room we'd have if the sunroof had to go into the roof, lol.

A revised center console that allows the drinks to stay in the cup holder without interfering with the shifter (for manual cars) and how about a compartment or pocket somewhere in the dash to put things like my cell phone so that way the cupholder isnt occupied with my phone.

The ergonomics on this car you can tell were not designed with daily driving in mind. I mean, you CAN..and I do...but eh.

Option for significantly wider wheels in 18" or 19" diameter on SS from the factory.

Use the same 'wheel' button on the left of the steering wheel on the right side for scrolling through the radio stations. I know it seems small but that little raised ridge makes it easier to scroll.

Thats about it off the top of my head.

Agree with everything except the radio controls. I have owned 6 vehicles with steering controls and they have all been setup the way the Camaro is.

radio on the right.. misc (cruise control or whatever) on the left.

the reason some import cars are opposite is because of right hand drive designs take priority in other countries, and they use the same steering wheels/controls for right and left had drive made vehicles.

as the general rule of thumb is both hands on the wheel at all times except when you are shifting, it makes sense the way it is set up now.

A lot of this has been covered NUMEROUS times.

But in regards to the sun visors...unless you want to be killed by one if you have it down and you get in a head on collision they can't make them bigger and it be safe.

My advice if you haven't already is get yourself a 5% tint strip across the front. thats what I did and it helps a lot!

-Sunglasses holder = This is a basic on many other cars. Located where? None of my cars have ever had this feature. I just use the case they came in and leave them in the center arm rest console.
-Those sun visors are a joke, they should fold out to become larger. I agree they are small, but fold out how, once they fold down lower on the windshield might not have much room to see out the windshield.
-Radio controls on left of wheel not right. It makes much more sense. Why? Makes more sense, not sure I understand what sense you are comparing this too?
-Needs lane change alert system, massive blind spots. I agree there are blind spots, but many cars have blind spots, just need to know where they are, and how to pay attention what is around you at all times. I do like the idea, but this will come at a cost.
-Sunroof opens to top of roof which is ugly. Not much room but should hide inside roof. There is no room to have the sunroof come inside and still leave room for people that are tall to be able to drive there Camaro. Example, I am 6' tall and when driving with my helmet( 1/4 mile. My helmet is touching the roof, if I had a sunroof, I would never fit. I too do not like the sunroof outside when open, which is why I decided to go without one when ordering my Camaro.

-Fix the way the seat belts are ran from the B-pillar.

-Option to have mechanical seat adjustments (not all of us like power everything)

-Visors (already mentioned)

-Place the USB port somewhere besides the center console

-Place the E-Brake on the driver side

-Offer the HID headlights as an option without forcing us to get the RS package

-Have the RPM gauge cluster turn entirely Red when you hit the redline on your RPM's

-Offer a T-Top (I know pipe dream)

-On the DIC, please allow the manual transmission driver know which gear they are in. The HUD display does thus for automatic owners why not manual transmission

- Garage door opener option

No rear seat/storage area

I have always had my rear seat in the down position. I don't need a rear seat. A rear floor storage area for small items i.e. cameras, etc.

A T-Top would be really cool. I might be a buyer if that pipe dream ever comes true.

Same here. The visors especially are the cheapest pieces of junk I've ever had in any of my cars. And I LOVE my Camaro. But come on, really????

Love my sunroof, sorry. T-tops aren't gonna cut it here.

eta: I would not complain about a little more HP. Sick of Mustang's winning in that category, because I will never buy a Ford.

Rear seat delete

A nice rear seat delete with a personal storage area covered by a one piece carpet from the trunk up for uniformity.
