It's still more than a week out at SEMA. I won't be able to get pictures until the wheels are cut...I'm supposed to have them by wednesday, and they won't be the ones I designed. Those come after SEMA. I'm getting monoblocks to show off at SEMa, and my 3 piece design after.
Install pics of the procharger stage 2 inlet system and tinted AAC sidemarkers/p13w tomorrow though. |

No worries man.
DDavis swapped out his shifter, I was finally able to get the battery bracket off and install the Stage 2 inlet system for the procharger and my AAC lights. They look A M A Z I N G ! ! Footwell tube was cracked in shipping, so that's not getting done yet... I wanted to have it rigged up by SEMA. Oh well. Gonna upload pics here shortly. |

So Today was the wrench day at Redemptions house. He's got a nice little set up with a long driveway and tools to work on 4 cars at a time. Only two camaros needed work So while it took 4 heads to put on my Procharger stage 2 intake, and scratch the hell out of my strut tower, Ddavis was able to install his new short throw shifter.
On my car went the intake, and the AAC sidemarkers which I had tinted locally. Shipping damage prohibited SummoneR from instlaling my footwell lighting while a couple of us went to town on the intake. Directions on the intake say to drill out 4 spot welds on the OEM battery terminal bracket. The problem is there's 6. And 3 of them are at impossible angles unless you have a 90 degree drill, which was about the only tool Redemption didn't have at his house. One broken bit later, we had the spot welds drilled out and began to try to pry the "spot welded" bracket off. I swear the two 2"x2" segments that were connected to the strut tower were one big giant spot weld each!!! An assortment of tools was used to pry the bracket off. Hole punch x2 Socket extension Flat head screw driver x2 Pickle Fork hacksaw blade Files Hammer The problem is, that without these tools, I wouldn't have been able to move the battery terminal, but after using these tools. This is what the bracket looked like... |

But we finally got everything set up and installed except for the engine cover which wouldn't fit, and I'm going to have to figure out what to do with the spot, possibly putting some sort of stuffed animal over it for Sema, just to hide the marks while the rest of the engine bay looks nice and clean and shiny... The throttle response from the larger filter has picked up and is now instantaneous. It's a slight but noticeable change. And a lot mroe fun. Tonight after I got home, i took my neighbor for a spin and was breaking the tires loose at around 50...Good lord I could get into trouble with this thing. I still have the pulley and long tubes to add on...
here's the final pictures including the AAC sidemarkers that I had tinted... All I have to do now is paint the engine bay/cover up the marks, and find a way to make the hood look nice in the next 5 days... Enjoy! |

Haa you left out the two Hole punches, the hack saw blade and the files. Oh and two different cordless drills, and a 10mm deep socket. Oh and the 8" long 1/2" socket extension. =)
Good times, I had fun today hanging out with you all. Even though I should have checked the light for damage before I drove 6 hours round trip =) BTW the new AAC P13W lights look amazing! Along with the side markers.
