Ceramic Brack Pads

Yesterday I installed Hawk Ceramic brake pads on my SS. I'm sick and tired of all the brake dust. I also sprayed the inside of the wheels with Armour All Wheel Protectant to stop the brake dust from sticking to the wheels. I couldn't believe how easy it was. You don't even have to take the calipers off to change the pads. Just punch out two pins with a punch. Squeeze the tip of the pad and caliper together and pull out the pad. Much easier than the 4th Gen.

Since I knew I was getting aftermarket chrome wheels, the first thing I did was install Hawk pads to minimize brake dust.

How's the braking? better or the same.

I also want to change the pads, cause the dust is just ridiculous. i need to clean the wheels every other day to keep them clean.
When i had the V6 brakes i only had to clean them once a week to keep them clean.

Cant go wrong with Hawks. defiantly worth the extra money compared to autozone brake pads. low noise, low dust, great bite.

how was the wear on the rotors before you swapped them out? i'm sure they were okay, but if you've but enough miles on the car, they should be resurfaced prior to installing new pads

Which model Hawks did you install? They are great I use them on my race car but many are really not for street use.

No issues with wet brake fade with the Hawk ceramic. My SS is my daily driver and I drove through a fair amount of rain this past winter/spring.
