How to clean 1LE hood
I just brought home my 1LE and gave it its first bath and now the hood wrap looks like hell. Any ideas on what to use?
Thanks |

gar89ta, I'm going to merge your thread with another so you can find your answer. Welcome to Camaro5! Most of the 1LE guys will always be in this section.

yeah I don't know what his issue is, almost every post he has he knocks the car. Ive owned some extremely nice cars and I absolutely love my 1LE its not perfect but every day I drive the car I have a smile on my face.

I've had the best luck with Invisible Glass and a microfiber after washing the car. Keeps it looking matte and removes any waterspots!

Hi guys, been away for a while, water works every time, no idea why GM wrapped the hood with vinyl, looked great in the show room! Anyway, I love my 1LE, NPP and my CAI addition makes me smile every time I drive. So i hae a few water spots, blah blah

I dry mine with a 200 MPH "Master Blaster" car dryer. Looks great, and no water spots!

I saw quite a few recommendations for meguiars quick detail, that is what I used after the first car wash I gave it......worked just fine.

Never let water dry on it.
Dry with air straight away. After pool drying with a hose (see Junkman's videos). Use Adams VRT once a month. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

So far, I've just washed with Meguiars car wash/MF wash mitt and dried with a silicone drying blade and a dedicated MF towel, then I use a California Duster in between washes followed by a clean MF towel. Seems to work well...keeps the vinyl clean, lifts off finger prints without spots and it is keeping the OEM matte look.
It seems like Adams VRT is getting mixed reviews...I don't want a satin or glossy look. |

It really isn't a satin or glossy look. If you think about it, the hood does not match the spoiler. With SVRT on the hood and wiping it off, it matches the spoiler perfect.
