Btw, I think it was a mistake, but all the links for these lines:

"My car is dirty. What do I do?

My paint/glass feels rough and bumpy. How can I fix that?

I have swirls and scratches in my paint. How can I get rid of those?

Water seems to just pool on my paint rather than slide off. Is there anything I can do?

There seem to be little brown spots all over my paint. What's the deal?
"
Point to "Maintenance Wash and Dry (when all you’re doing is washing the car)"
I can never make you happy, can i?

Kidding of course. Thanks, Ill fix it today

How often do you suggest using this product, and is Whinex a better product? The latter part of this question was in jest
It depends how you care for your car. If you stay up with really good maintenance (regular washing, claying, solid protection) you might only need it once every two years or so.

You definitely want to do it at least once though.

And I recommend WhineX to many folks

I'm happy to know that writing my wife's name while claying is officially sanctioned. Good thread and appreciate the humor to help make something that might be scary for some people less intimidating!

I know how to rinse! LOL

But, seriously, I have done paint work for 25 years and have always detailed my own work and I never really realized how little water could be left on a car if you sheet it off with a slow hose versus spraying the car down.

Saw it on Adams videos, not to pimp them. It was just a good place to view the technique.

Rinsing this way can lead to a difference between one towel to dry and three.

I'm not trying to be combative; I'm just trying to help. I know you know the technique but you could post your own video of it here if you want to keep this self-contained.

Thanks for the thread!

+1 on the OP's post.

For any of you guys looking to start using a DA or buffer, I'd highly recommend the Porter Cable 7424XP, it's arguably the best DA out there for a beginner.

Listen to this OP, he knows what he is talking about!!

Thanks,
Nick C.
