Im almost certain its not a clay issue because before I clayed certain parts of the car had no contaminants and was very smooth with the baggie test.

I have had an issue (before I learned about Autopia form and here) I was using Turtle wax Ice. Original formula was clear liquid almost like a tire dressing just rub on with sponge applicator and even out with micro fiber. Looked amazing when it was done deep wet shine felt good nice slick but slightly oily. days later it would trap a lot dirt weeks later felt like grit every where in the paint to the bare hand. If i didnt hate that stuff so bad i would love to try experiment do it again and do baggie test I cant even imagine how bad it would be. Point is I have seen some sealant act like magnet for contaminants. Did it to my truck friends truck and my gel coat on my boat. I had to strip was with dawn then clay then wax with better stuff. now I am educated and I have a huge head start in the right direction from professionals on both these forums.
