Would you buy a 2009 G8 GT?

I'm toying with the idea of buying a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT to be kind of my co-daily driver and take some of the wear/tear off my Camaro. Plus it's an auto; my wife can't drive a stick (she drives a 2013 Equinox). This car is the GT with a 361hp L76, not the GXP with the Ls3, so it's plenty strong/fast but not quite like the Camaro I have, which is fine. I haven't seen it in person (yet) but all the pics look like it's in near-perfect shape and has on 60K on the odometer. They're asking $20K. I've always secretly admired those sedans with an actual trunk! Thoughts?

I really liked those cars and thought about one years back. The only thing that made me uncomfortable is availability of parts. If the car was ever in a fender-bender... can one get what they needed to repair it? Hood, door, fender,, etc?

Maybe I should be but I'm not really too concerned about MPG's. What does anyone think of the asking price for a 5-yr-old car with 60K from a defunct brand? (ps: I used to love Pontiac's; had a '79 T/A).

I had one and they are great, would love to have another but my wife says I have too many cars already. They are really holding their value because they are bad ass family cars. Drop the kids off at school and head to the track, no problem.

In a word, No. I'm personally trying to find something a little more oddball or different as a DD. Fiero, first gen MX5 Miata, Karmann Ghia.....

I like'em! They're basically a 4-door Camaro and basically a Pontiac (and better looking IMHO) version of the current Super Sport. They are really sharp with a set of Camaro 20" wheels. The GT's 6.0 engine has AFM, which I'm not a fan of, but being a 2009, it couldn't have much, if any, warranty left, so I'd just have it tuned out.
There's a red GT near me for sale for 14k. I have no idea about the miles because I'm afraid to stop and look at it, but it looks really good from the road.

Since it "only" has 65k on it wouldn't it at least have 35k left on the powertrain (assuming GM gave it 100k, which I'm not positive about).

Depends on the 5 year part, there is always extended warranty.
