Just the gears. Not sure that there is anything else different inside the housing. All the info I've seen on the package has talked about the new rear gears and new axles. I haven't seen anything indicating anything else inside the diff case has changed. Yes it would fit, just not sure why you would need the whole thing.

I haven't seen that. Nobody has actually worked on one yet, probably will know more as they start to get delivered. But the only difference in the rear diff that I can see is the R&P gear. The 1LE case and diff carrier are the same part numbers as the SS w/o 1LE.

Awesome, looks around $1300 to my door. Since you don't have to pay a core, that's a really good price.

I'm also trying to figure out what if anything is different about the 1LE driveshaft. Possibly the bolts? |

Well, it's $400 for gears + install kit, and probably 300 more for installation. So $700. Or you can get a factory pre-setup rear for ~$1300-1500, and sell your old one for $700. So $700. It's the same actual cost, either way. |

Ok, interesting thought. Or, one could keep the stock diff and put it back in at trade in time. It does open up some possibilities.

Can you tell where you found $1300 shipped? Cheapest I found was $1509+shipping.

I was doing some reading on what people were paying just for the gear install, and between the gears, install kit, and labor most were in the $1200 range, even saw some in the $1400-1600 range. I can probably get the 1LE diff to my door for under $1400 through my local dealer, I'd just go that route.
