I am being told the following is all normal noises/issues for the 2013 Camaro by my dealership. I drove a 2010 for 3 years with zero issues. My 2013 has approximately 2300-2400 miles on it:
1. 1800 miles: A/C compressor began cycling loudly, with clicking and tapping noises during the cycle, louder toward end of cycle.
2. 2000 miles: interior vibrations strong enough to produce a rattling noise around the console/shift lever area occurred during A/C cycling and/or when revving the engine while idling in addition to
3. 2300-2400 miles miles: after dealership replaced AC compressor and belt above problems still exist and a new issue appeared, issue being a whirring/chirping/winding type noise when accelerating. Occurs with AC on and off.
Dealership has car now, the shop foreman heard the noises but did not know source of the problem, two days later they said they compared it to another 2013 on their lot and they both sound the same so they are diagnosing it as normal. So, in their opinion, all 2013 Camaros have the above noises, even though these noises did not exist in this one before 1800 miles and never existed in my 2010 Camaro after 36,000 miles. So, I'm reaching out to the 2013 Camaro community....agree or disagree this is "normal"? William R. with Chevrolet Customer Svc has been involved, very helpful and is putting a district specialist in touch with the dealership but I'm looking for YOUR opinions.

I don't have those problems and I have a 2013 SS. I do have a clicking noise that comes from the passenger seat area every time I hit a bump on the road.

i have 2,300 miles on mine and no weird noises.

Sounds like alot of no's. I have a 2013 2lt rs with 4k miles and no noises

We have a 2013 with 7000 miles... we have none of the issues mentioned.

Thank you so much for the input! I'm a newbie and didn't know I should have added a poll! Community, please keep giving your input because it's more ammo for me at the dealership. I am still in awe that they told me this is normal. 36k miles on my 2010, never ONCE did I have anything like this. I was thinking if this is the new "normal" for a 2013 I want my 2010 back! I'm happy to hear this ISN'T normal. I didn't think it WAS, of course, but this is just further confirmation for me....

None of my 800 miles on my 13' SS have I heard any of those noises!

Check the heat shields on the cats. My 2013 dusk is in the shop right now for the same type of sound your describing around your shifter

12000 miles on my 2LS @ 6 mos.

No such issues.

Rattling headrest in mine, plus the wipers make a rub sound on the windshield.
