Hi...please let me know if changing the rear diff fluid works for you. I get this same moan when backing out.

Many thanks!

no more noise, changing the fluid with gm synthetic and some gm additive fixed it,

after you change the fluid take the car to an empty parking lot and do some figure-8 driving to work the new fluid into the clutch packs

how do you think a posi/limited slip rearend works, yes there are clutch packs in your rear end if you have a posi/limited slip diff

this will give you an idea how the posi works:

Yes, that is the correct answer. Had to change fluid every six months on my "95 and '98 Camaros to keep the rear quiet. Just a slight low moan on slow turns such as in a parking lot. However, I did autocross both cars. Maybe heavy duty useage?

Don't forget to add the friction additive.

Check your manual and see if it is not mentioned in maintenance requirements. Seems to me there was a note tucked away somewhere in mine where it was easy to miss.

Cheers.

It's in there, but not under maintenance.. It says to change the oil if you plan to race/be hard on the car.

It's under the break-in section.
