appearance care for the 2011 camaro?

I know quite a bit about engines & technical crap, but I'm clueless when it comes to taking care of the outside of the car..

I have had my all black 2011 LS for about two weeks & it needs a clean-up..

What kind of products should I use as far as washing & waxing?

Well I've had my car about two months now. I just used Mothers California gold Car Wash, then Clay Bar, then Meguires Yellow #26 wax. Looks really nice, I didn't think since its so new that wax would improve it. WOW, Synergy Green waxed looks better then Synergy Green washed.
Black will be fun to keep clean. I am sure when you wax your car you will be like wow that is nice. Black cars waxed correctly look amazing such a deep color.

How do people in here feel about Quick Detailers? Meguires makes them, along with Armor All, Mother's, Adam's (as mentioned earlier) and many others.

I am not talking about using a Quick Detailer as a Wax, but for in between spots you may get, like getting rid of bird droppings.

tomorrow will be the first wash... of any car I've had.. I never wash/wax anything... I always took them over to detail & gave the doods cash & they fixed me up...
