Larger Throttle Body

Guys, I'm thinking about getting a 102mm throttle body and putting it on my Whipple. My question is, is there a downside to using a larger throttle body?

The driveability may be effected depending on the Throttle Body and the tuning. A larger TB on Positive Displacement supercharger is a great idea

You will need the Whipple 102 adapter plate, I have both in stock if interested.

No Down side that I can see but that really depends on your Tuner.

Ted.

I agree with what has been said, it is up to the tuner to get it right for sure. I think the Whipple makes it so you dont have to use the spacer on the tensioner pully. I know on my set up which is FAST 102/ NK 102 TB, it used the spacer, but made it squeek. I just ordered the Katech tensioner pully and it worked perfect.

There is no down side to a large TB on a positive displacement blower,we have desighned large TBs years ago to get the most out of our maggie cars.We are curently building a 2300 with twin 90s... If you need a TB give us a call we have them in stock..

Was just checking out the 102mm TB and see that it requires changing to a cabled throttle. That stinks!

At that level i would expect 25 and would not be surprised at 40.I have a 2300 on my car with ARH through a 9 inch with 22s and using the stock restrictive airbox and with our 102tb it puts down 575rwhp...thats with stock untouched motor.
