New Color Shift Box Arrived

After using AAC color shift box for a couple of weeks I wanted something with a little more range to the remote. AAC Color shift upgraded box is nice, but remote is IR. It requires a IR blaster mounted on the dash to operate while outside of car. Even this is limited range and must be purchased separately. I currently have Color shift box mounted in my armrest and requires opening armrest cover while pointing remote inside to change functions.

I found this little box and remote on ebay for grand total of $18 bucks. Took approx 2 weeks to arrive. It has the same functions as the AAC box and also provides direct color buttons for red, white and many other shades. There is also 5 DIY buttons for custom colors. The remote is RF so should work well even outside of car.

I just had a strange idea. Let's say you decide to remove (or choose to not renew the subscription) Onstar. Could you make the buttons on the mirror as On/Off switches?

I think my insomnia is affecting my brain.

Looks like a decent upgrade there. If it had the feedback led that would be the bees knees, but like you mentioned, it does have some features that are more desired in it then the current Multi-function box.

I'd be curious to see how she works for ya! Subscribed!

yea i just received my colorshift 2.0 box which had been on back order for awhile from AAC, just finished installing it, i installed the control box underneath the radio and mounted the eye inside the front bumper grille, range isn't what i was expecting, only about 7-8 feet, im going to try and change the battery to see if that makes a difference but i am curious on the range of that unit, I have a similiar unit but I think its the IR version
