Got allocation dealer called to see if i wanted to make any changes ???

I ordered my car on 5-19 sat at 1100 for 11 weeks. My dealer called last week on thrusday and said he had allocation for my car with no constraights and put it in. He calls me back today and said DO YOU WANT TO MAKE ANY CHANGES !!! He said i need to know before noon ! That suprised the hell out of me , I thought it was already set in stone on what i was getting. The first thing i asked if it would take any longer to get it he said no. So i changed 3 things. Has this happened to anyone else ??? I just looked and viz says i made 2000 today .

Wow, you've been waiting a long time. Why haven't you called around months ago and found a dealer who already had an allocation? You would have had your car long ago!

Changes can be made at any time while at 1100...

He's fine, his dealer just got the allocation and went to 2000. Any change in the order needs to be done now. By Thrusday the order should be "set in stone". Then takes about 2 weeks to hit 3000.

Just make sure the changes don't " drop " the RS if you had that.

Correct, except, that accepted orders with dealer slots set in stone at midnight every Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. All this purchaser needs to do is wait. You're 2'ish weeks to the production line. About 4'ish days in production and then a day in QC...about 5 production days total. Then when you're released to shipping, it's 12-14 days to the dealer depending on where you live and how long it takes to build a load from the railcar depot to your dealer or a group of dealers with the same brand in your area.

Sit tight and you'll be driving by the end of September.

the dealer can run pass one from thursday until saturday once they have an allocation and place the order which would verify it doesn't fall into any constraints and "set it in stone"
