Today's a great day

Hi everyone!

I was waiting for a special occasion to write my introductory post on this great forum that I have been reading for a few months now. I believe today qualifies as a very special occasion.

Earlier this afternoon, I called GM Customer Service in Oshawa and the kind lady I talked to informed me that the Camaro I ordered on January 27th will be built on March 15th.

You have no idea how excited I was when I heard her explain the sequence of events after that date. She said the car will be done by the 19th, and it should be delivered to me 20 working days afterwards. So I quickly grabbed a calendar to find out that I will be driving my very own Camaro on April 20th (assuming Oshawa workers will have 2 days off around Easter).

I am so happy.

I ordered an Inferno Orange 2SS/RS Manual Camaro with orange interior and engine cover. Can't wait to share pics with you guys. Thanks for reading.

Try using the camaro tracking feature on the Camaro Price | Ordering | Tracking | Dealers Discussions area. You can check it multiple times a day and you won't drive the nice customer service lady crazy with constant requests for updates. Keep in mind how many people are waiting on their cars and how annoying it must be to field those calls all day long.

Secondly, I think I can speak for just about everyone on this site when I say we know EXACTLY how excited you must be feeling!!!...WoooooHooooooo!!!...

Whenever I read posts such as yours, it brings me RIGHT BACK to how I felt when I was where you are now, and I enjoy it tremendously when another happy, ecstatic forum member takes delivery of their 'baby'...

Make sure to hang around here while you are patiently waiting for your 'dream called Camaro' to be built and delivered, and make sure to post photos of you and your 'PERMAGRIN' when you get out of the car long enough to post them...

On the contrary, I remember quite well as I picked my Camaro up last week!!! Congratulations on ordering a fantastic car!!! Seriously, I've been MORE than impressed this last week by the quality of my Camaro. Fortunately the weather has cooperated, and I've had him out all week! I've still got my permagrin on and thoroughly enjoying my ride. You ordered an awesome colour combination, and I have no doubt that Team Camaro in Oshawa is going to impress you too, with their quality of work.

We're happy for you! And... as has already been said... when you DO get your Camaro... WE WANT PICTURES!!! They may have made over 100,000 Camaros already... but you'll notice that we never get tired of seeing pictures of each one. They're truly awesome in the pictures... but even MORE so in person. Good luck getting any sleep the night before you pick yours up!
