allocation question

Does anyone know how many Zl1s were allocated total?

more or less than 1000?

Also, are we absolutely positive that this car is going to be built in 2013 as a coupe as well or is the coupe this year then vert next year and thats it?

2013 will have both the coupe as well as the Vert.

I was told the the table has one allotment...that's it. So, if your dealer can get three, that's all he can get for MY '12. Also, I am predicting the total run for '12 will be 1969.

There are those inside GM who know the total number of 2012 ZL1s that have been allocated. However, I doubt if any individual dealers know what that number is. I don't' know, but I'm guessing it's over 1,000.

Wouldnt that be nice.

What does everyone here think about this 2012 becoming a "collector" car and how rare might it be in your thoughts?

Just remember the dealer's "guide" number is an estimate. GM says that the dealer should not order more than their guide number as there is no guarantee the dealer will get more. That would result in a customer satisfaction issue.

Today I spoke with the new car sales mgr at Earnhardt Chevrolet to see if they had any allocations not spoken for. Their one was taken. I was told that yesterdays webnar said that somewhere around the first of the year the camaro assembly line would be converted to ZL1's for one week a month for the remainder of the 2012 production. This is why the 2012 numbers will be low.

I'm just guessing here but from what I have been told about the restricted production<don't want to repeat the LE word I was told> I guess 1969 units for the 2012 year might be a tangible number <only a guess, but I was laughed at when I mentioned 3K> I was told the convertibles produced in 2013 already have allocation tables set. I didn't get info about coupes for '13. Thats for what it's worth. If you want names, PM me, and I will tell you them.
