Whats going on with my dealer?

Hi i have some issues with my dealer and i want to hear your thoughts on it..

so i ordered a 2012 45th camaro 7 weeks ago, and last tuesday becky told me the car has shipped. so i called the dealer and they told me it is at a derailing station about 30 miles away from the dealer. so i went to go look at it, and asked the security guard if i could go in and see it, he said no and also said that the dealer shouldnt have told me my car is there. So i called the dealer again the next day and they said that the car that they said was at the derailing station isnt mine, and mine is still being shipped. So they called me yesterday and said my car is in and i made an appt to come get it today at 3..and they just now called me saying that my car isnt there and it should be there next week. another important thing is on their website, it says in their inventory that MY car is there with the same order number and VIN..there are other 2012s in the inventory, but they all say IN TRANSIT, mine is the only one that says NEW.

what do you think is goin on?

Don't call, go up there and ask to speak to the Manager to find out exactly what is happening.

Its possible the car got damaged and they are trying to fix it up before you see it. It does happen...

One thing to remember GMs site and dealer sites will show cars in inventory even those that are still on the way via rail.

But if I wad in your shoes I would drive up to the dealership and look around for your car.

They're holding a lot of cars for QC so there are delays of almost one month in most cases.

While Becky may have done you a favor by telling you something, your best bet is to sit tight and when it arrives, it arrives.

The dealer doesn't get paid until you drive it off the lot so there is no point in them "hiding" it from you.

Once your car is in transit, you should be able to get the rail car number. Once you have that, there is a phone number you can call and get daily updates on where that rail car is.

You actually thought you could just walk into the railyard? There is such a thing as security. 9 times out of 10 Dealers can't even get into the yard without prior authorization.
