Transmission question.

Hey guys I've *notice when I my car is cold(and sometime when it's warm) and the car shifts from first to second I hear a quick "clunk" in the bottom of the car, like if something hitting something. I have a v6 with an auto transmission. Plz help. *

Have you had the trans tuned to shift quicker? And how loud is this clunk?
