No rattles or noise.....

Hurst aftermarket short throw.....much tighter than stock, no rattle w/elimination kit, prefer round ball feel over the stock leather knob, "clicks" when in gear, reduction throw is great, etc.....

LSR shifter FTW! Super quiet and very precise (doesn't need sound deadening material when you install it, LOL). It's also adjustable in height and nobody can beat the price $139.

Well, I had the Factory Hurst option on mine. I would use that again. If i did go aftermarket, it would be MGW. No questions asked.

Used them on all my cobra's.

I have the new MGW shifter. It definitely feels better when I shift. I can't say I noticed a difference in the throw. But then again, I hadn't driven the car in seven months, until two days before I installed it.

I did notice that the MGW is slightly louder than the stock shifter, despite the layers of sound deadening. When I start the car, I can hear it through the shifter boot. It got my attention the first couple of times I started it, after installing the shifter.

Where exactly do you guys put the sound deadening material?

MTI six shooter short throw. Home run product. No noise no rattles. Throw is noticeably shorter and much more crisp.
