Hey guys, I'll soon be joining the IOM family with my ordered convertible. I've started to read this whole thread, but I'm only like a third of the way thru. I wanted to ask your opinion on the gfx.

I ordered a 2SS/RS IOM with a black top. Black hockey stripe package and the basic wheels for now, no polished, etc. I currently have ordered matching painted gfx, but it's a couple thousand extra as I'm sure many of you know. What is your opinion on the gfx? Has there been any big pushback from the camaro enthusiast against the gfx?

I don't think there's any pushback...there are people who purchase them. I personally just don't like the looks of the ground effects, especially from the back. I think another reason you don't see as many people ordering it is cost. $2000 for ground effects is crazy (similar to the $4000 for the 21" wheels). There are always going to be tons of different opinions on what looks good, so I say go for what you like.

Thanks for the opinion. I have those same thoughts, especially on the back. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow because they are putting on some gfx on a black Camaro. I definitely agree that the money could be better spent elsewhere. I know I want to upgrade the wheels, but not through the dealer.

Im on the verge of ordering an IOM 2LT Coupe, with CGM dual stripes, RS package, & 20" polished rims.

Im 90% sure on the orange leather interior (based on Pics here).

My question - do the orange door/dash pannels come with the Orange leather interior option or is that a seperate option ?

Welcome to the Forum. Good color choice. Yes the panels you see in orange in my photo all come with that interior package.

Ill report back in a few weeks once I've placed my order.

Im told by the dealer here in Canada its an 8 week delivery lead time. but I dont want to take delivery before April. Too much snow till April/May where I am

I hear that. I ordered mine Feb. 17th so as to take delivery in April. Picked it up on April 7th.

Now you can start reading all the mods and changes that are in front of you for things to do.

If you haven't had a chance to read this thread this will give you some ideas. This is the thread I created for my Camaro.

Yeah the color is sick in the sun!! When I went to get mine it was in there shop and I was like Wat color did I get cause it looked like crap , but once they pulled it out I was in love!!!! Nice car !!
