I want a V8 mainly bc im tired of getting smoked by other f-bodys. others are pushing ws6s and i just cant keep up
Their V8s aren't the reason you're losing. You need more power. Power can come from any engine that is properly built. What you want to do is get a couple books on engines and forced induction. Decide from your research whether you want a turbocharger or a supercharger. Before you ever get one, you need to replace your beams (they hold your pistons), pistons, and other internals based upon what numbers you are seeking. After that, you'll want to find a good shop that is honest and reliable about their work. Get them to give you an estimate for your job and give you solid advice about what to order and what to do.

• Cheap
• Fast
• Reliable
• Pick 2

where at are you getting smoked? streets? the track?
if your on the streets thats your first mistake. when you do get caught, and eventually you will, it will be a major pain. paying for the ticket, higher insurance, and cops will know who you are and what you drive.
there are plenty of things you can do to your v6 to make it better, but im going to leave that up to the more experienced guys here to tell you.

For once, I forgot to point that out. Usually, I'm the first to tell someone to drive safely and stop endangering innocent civilians—good catch, Zieke.

oh and another "Important" question for you.
How many miles are on the "engine". not the car, unless the engine is the first original.
