I think it would make sense to offer different levels of Z/28, just like Ford has done with the GT350. Offer a base, or at least a tour version (which would still be stupid fast) and then offer a very track capable "R" version.
Besides all the hating from the ford side about it being supercharged (which is just deserved given they went FI to be able to compete) i think you be on to something there.

Or not!

Either way all this speculation sure is fun!

Do you guys think the manual LT4 will have AFM or will it follow the steps of the Camaro LT1 and not get AFM?

which one are you referring to? There are three cars in the video, 2 ZL1's one with hashmarks (may be a manual), one without (definitely an Auto). Then there is a car that appears to carry the same front clip and hood as the SS and is what folks believe to be the 1LE, which is unclear how many of those are in the video. The 1LE i noticed is definitely a manual.

I watched it on a big 1080p monitor @ work and stopped it at 1:49. It looks like carbon ceramics. There is no shine from the brake rotors. And it looks like there is a Flowtie

And the diameter is larger than the (possible) 1LE that shows up next in the video

Exactly, there is no talk of the boss... Only 500 and 350... Basically the 350 seems to be replacing the boss. That leaves 2 cars to "battle", the 500 and 350... Zl1 to 500, z28 to 350... Unless they combo the cars... But we will see

I was trying to compare the brakes from the "Zl1" and the gen 5 Z28 being tested with the SS to see how they compare since there both sporting the same rims. I couldn't get any good views of the Z28.

I see it like this

ZL1 = GT500
1LE = GT350
Z28 = GT350R

They would have to strip the crap out of the ss and add 100 hp to compete as a 1le to gt350... I don't see them doing that, considering they never have for the 1le... Well, they've stripped them down, but never a mass power boost like that...

Hopefully they get it sorted by the time the ZL1 comes to production. I haven't really heard any issues with the CTS-V and that has the same engine.
