Tail light tints
Looking to tint my tail lights, wanted to see who you guys recommend. I see phastek, headlight armor, laminate-x all sell them. Which is best from your experience? Or any other for that matter.

Lucky you have the older style taillights. I tried installing some tint on the 2014 RS taillights, what a complete failure. Too many curves and indented areas to get it smooth and clean looking. Will try with a professional next time.

I did the Nightshades spray tint. Looks good, but be very careful you don't go too dark. And I have no idea on how difficult it is to remove if ever needed. So far no problems, got my new inspection sticker and the cops haven't pulled me over, it's more permanent, film you can easily pull off.

looking good!
Our taillight kit is designed to be applied with the lights installed on the vehicle and the bezels in place. DIY Install for the 2010-2013 Camaro Taillights: To the visibility question. With a taillight application all three shades we offer the running lights and brake lights were visible at 1000 feet. Night testing photos: http://www.headlightarmor.com/smoked...-at-night.aspx Daytime visibility with our darkest material: With a headlight application, the darkest material is intended for day time track / show car use only. We have more info in our vendor thread here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42597 Hope that helps. |

I've used BigWormGraphix on my first Camaro, they use high quality Laminex material, which makes it so much easier to install. No parts removal necessary.

I got mine from bigwormgraphix, and it's been great. I'm sure they're all just as good though.

I will go ahead and give you an example of the phastek package...I was very happy with the result and it was very easy to install, except on the fog lights bc they are so round the tint didnt want to stick until we used a hair dryer to heat up the material ha. I did all the lighting on the vehicle besides the headlamps bc the non-RS lamps are already dim enough to begin with haha.
