Give Matt at Tune Time Performance a call and he can get you there Stage I or II cam kit.

We just installed the cam, heads and TC to the existing headers, CAI and tune and made 463hp and 468tq on the L99.

VVT yes, DOD no. The cam is a Mast Stage II (224/238 .578/.593 115 LSA). Bought ported and polished L92/LS3 heads form Richard at WCCH.

Matt, carries the entire Mast cam line.

Nice numbers SRT10 congrats, and that is not a radical cam either. How long have you had this set up running?

Ps I see that you have a picture of a 400 SS, I know thats a Mexicana truck. Is that where you from? What part?

Patroit Gold Dual springs although I was told the VVT might not work because of the seat pressure and something to do with oil pressure. Mast recommends their Nitride Beehive springs that have less seat pressure but the shop wanted something better because of the 300 shot we are going to spray.

So far a 200 shot got us 811tq and 640hp.

Im from Chicago, but my family is from QRO, QRO. I love that place.
My Dad used to have a 454SS when I was 16 (til my brother burned it up after an oil change, dont ask me how he wont remember LOL) and that turned me into a GM guy. He has always been a Ford guy.
Well back on topic, So your VVT has been deleted then? with those numbers and that spray, I would think so. Awesome numbers nontheless

Still have VVT with the Mast cam just not the AFM/DOD. Went with LS7 lifters instead.

Cool, did you go with comp cams cam phaser?
Do you know any details about how they tuned your cam phaser? Like max advanced degrees or retarded?

MAST has their own phaser limiter and it allows much more movement than the comp kit does. The VVT starts off in full advance ( zero position ) and then retards the cam as your RPM climbs. This is fully tunable through the PCM with efi-live or Hptuners.

What Im not sure about is the ideal curve for the phase. GM primarily uses the VVT for economy purposes not for power. So theres a lot to be had by tuning the cam position for power instead. I also know that this is no easy task as the VVT tables affect fuel and spark tables as well. Meaning you cant just set a cam timing curve, then go set a fuel and spark curve. They're all intertwined somehow.

Havent done this yet myself but I would LOVE to hear from anyone who has tuning tips on the best way to approach this process?

But Im not holding my breath on that one. Getting anyone to spill the beans on this is like asking someone to take a round out of their wife! Talk about stingy....

When I figure this out ( yes when not if ) just out of sheer spite for the lack of info sharing on this specific topic Im going to spill it out all over the boards everywhere as detailed as I can

Lol!
Sounds good, I'd do the same! It's like G14 classified like the Nascar team engine builders book.
