Looks like K&N are finally on board!
So, in my random (ok, more like methodical) checking of K&N's website...I spotted a brand new, never before offered product: Cold Air Intake kit for 2012 LFX V-6's. The product code is 69-4523TP. Right now it is only offered in the polished aluminum, but still.....finally!! Thank you K&N!!

Very cool, not to be a downer but I hope they dont have issues like on the 2010's-11's model

What issues did K&N have with the '10 and '11's? I know there was a redesign for the MAF sensor and/or thermostat housing on radiator...anything else?

K&N cold air intakes on the LLT were throwing Check Engine lights for awhile until they figured out how to fix it. Honestly, I would never consider a K&N intake. Buying a brand name and that's it.

Thats too bad I have had good luck with their products. Ok found it:
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-4523TP 15hp/11 ft lbs torque, estimated (?) then it shows dyno graphs to back it up, that sounds almost too good to be true? Looks cheap compared to a couple of the others, also no sign of CARB exemption which is a no go here. Ill wait n see. |

Looks cheap to me, too. CAI's is only $75 more and it's top of the line stuff.
This K and N setup appears to be a solid piece of aluminum from the filter to the bend before the throttle body connection. I'll bet heat soak would be a big issue. The air dam doesn't appear to seal all that well, and it looks to be just plastic of some kind. And I'm willing to bet their dyno measurements are done "hood-up." Jus' sayin'. John B.

Ok, maybe this thread has already been started, but: What have you guys found to be the best all around cold air intake? CAI? Injen? BBK? Roto-Fab? Airaid? I'm just doing a little research before i take the plunge! Thanks!

Really it's whatever YOU want to go with. I went with Cold Air Inductions and couldn't be happier. Others went with Rotofab, others are holding out for Vararam.

I've had a lot of k&n intakes on our cars and trucks and never had problem but with the Camaro I might try the CAI intake with the wash bottle relocator. I think most short intakes from big names are going to be around the same +\- 1 or two hp
