Cool Winter delivery of new 2011, washed for the first time

Well, my 2010 2LT is long gone and I have been driving my 2011 2SS/RS for a few weeks now. I can tell you that my 2LT and my now 2SS are entirely different cars! I now have a 6.2 not a 3.6 litre engine that perform entirely differently. Both cars seem to be a completely different type of driving experience, but similar somehow...

I drove it for about 3 weeks before washing it (no contact car wash, of course!) and can show you a few pics of before and after the FIRST car wash! I drove it about Montreal today, with a perma-grin on my face all day. Even though gas prices were cranked up a full 10 cents today for no apparent reason, I didn't care a bit...cause every second in this fine machine is pure driving pleasure! eB

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

Yeah people on here go absolutely insane if they find a little bit of pollen on their car.

after all the talk about storing them (including mine) it's good to see someone getting some use out of the heated seats and mirrors!

camarodriver: I hope your not doing this winter driving with the factory p/zero tires.
IMO that perma-grin could change very quickly. just saying.

In Quebec, there is a law that by December 15th we are required to have winter tires on all vehicles. I always had winter rubber for all my cars regardless so on the new Camaro I am running new Pirelli Scorpion ice & snow tires. I had also ordered wheels but the dealer made a mistake and they only fit a 2010 SS not a 2011 because of the roller skate brakes. I will be buying other wheels next season as I much prefer not mounting and re-mounting the tires on the rims.

I would certainly lose control on the p-zero's in winter up here in our hard winters!

z0mfg idk wtf . . .

On a more serious note though, it's nice to see that people can enjoy their cars with no boundaries. If I could do it with zero consequence, I'd be doing the same thing.

I tend to agree! I am careful not to drive it in snow storms, but when I can see the road and traction is good, I take her out. This car simply works for me year round! I also have weathertech floor mats to keep the carpets pristine.
