What TC should I get or should I wait until cam?

My next mod might be a TC. I loved the one I had in my 4th gen. It makes the car a lot of fun to drive. Since I only have headers and a CAI should I wait until I install a cam? This is my D/D and I put 50+ miles on it a day.

get a 3200 converter.. it'll sure help the time go by until the cam goes in.

Just keep in mind how far you want to go when you order your TC. If you are staying all motor I would go with minimum 4,000 stall. I have a turbo in my truck so I only went with a 3600 in that.

A 4K stall seems pretty large for a D/D but I could be wrong? What brand did you go with?

For my truck I went with a Yank PT3600. If my car was an auto I would go with a Yank PT4400 if you are staying N/A with a big cam.

In my daily driver 98 SS I was running a Turbo Action 8" 5,200 stall. Daily drove it with that set up for a couple of years putting about 90 miles a day on it. Keep in mind this was with a TH350 3 speed with no over drive.

I'd stay away from the multidisc converters. The added weight slows down 60' times and the quickest cars aren't locking their converters at WOT. A Yank SS 3200 and Circle D 3200 get zero complaints. Great converters.

I have a yank 3600 , and unless you have time to tune it yourself its difficult.. I did mine and its pretty nice.. there are only a few guys out there with larger than 3200 (on these cars)
The 3200's seem to be much easier to tune.

I've really liked my Circle D converters. I'd go with the 3200 for your setup. I just moved up to the multi disk 3800, but that went in a different transmission.
