Anyone else out there with Modded Camaros and about 610 HP which is probably about what the Hellcat is putting out to the wheels.

Fast......almost. Lol

This was in 2011. The car today is no where near what it use to be.
100% stock suspension
Stock auto trans
17k miles. At the point, we are talking over 2 years ago now I would take the car on 6 hour trips with no issues.
Only a swap to slicks for the track.

I believe the 6.2L supercharged engine has over 800 HP and the 707HP and 650lbs. TQ is what's at the back of the crank, which is SAE certified. It takes about 80 HP just to power the supercharger. Has over 11lbs. boost, which is killer for a STOCK engine.
I believe the HP at 1200 RPM is abut 412 HP. I'm just still surprised that the car cost 60k and more for options. Pretty impressive actually.
8 speed trans may shift fast but you need to realize the more shifts the car makes the more detrimental it is to the overall ET. More doesn't mean it's better.

Anyone know how navy times it'll shift on the strip?

You are correct. But the A8 shifts faster than the M6. Doesn't matter how fast you think you can shift a manual. I'm assuming with the M6,..you're good to about 60MPH.
Also, gearing plays a big part. No?

Yes, the A8 trans gearing will play a role as will the gear ratio but that's another thread for you boys to beat each other over the head in. lol

Auto is def faster for 99% of us on the strip. There will also be guys like Ranger.....

If the Hellcat is in 6th gear crossing at 5k rpms it'll leave a ton on the table. A gd trans tune would help so much.

Lots of info here on my car. Search Supercharged SS. It went 9's in 2012 when 9's were quick. Now it's the norm.

It's at Slowhawk's right now getting prepped for a run at low 9's.

Very cool.
There's a single turbo Mustang that runs 9's as well. Pretty bad ass.

At a starting price of $60,990 (including destination charge) the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat offers one horsepower for every $86.27 dollars. To get more horsepower you'd have to step up to a Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 Anniversary Edition.

Camaro/Hellcat compare. I have a 2010 SS Camaro with 603 rwhp and a m6. I would like to race a m6 challenger hellcat at the 1/4 mile. The hellcat has 450 lbs over the Camaro and 30 more hp than my Camaro, but I have lower gears 391s. I think I would win the race. What do you think?

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the rwhp#s I'm only making low 500rwhp on motor and running 10.90s with traction problems. Hard to judge a car by rwhp at the track.

Yeah,...that's what makes this car even nicer. With all that weight and it STILL tops the GT500 and the ZL1. Imagine if the SRT engineers had some weight reduction? I think this bad boy does 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds. The same as the 2015 Z06. I do believe that the Hellcat will be a contender on the road course too. (But,...that's just me. lol)
I do believe the boost level for the Hellcat is 11.6 lbs of boost. NICE!
Imagine once the PCM gets cracked and you can install a smaller pulley and a 93 octane tune?!
According to recent testing, the 2015 Z06 A8 hits 60 in 2.9 seconds... Hellcat will get owned racing the Z06 in all areas. Traction and tires are important.
