Hammerhead plus other goodies added to the driveline...

So I figured Id post about my car since I basically had everything in the driveline replaced and just got her back...

Heres what I did...
-Complete Hammerhead Kit (Stage 2) ...3.91 gear, wavetrac, aluminum one piece driveshaft, level 5 (1400 hp) axles, etc etc
-Sent my McLeod RXT back to McLeod and had them rebuild and rework the whole thing
-Had the 2nd gear syncho upgraded in the trans (I had grinding in gears at high rpm)
-Installed IdealG's master cylinder (going to do the separate reservoir mod soon)
-Installed a new slave cylinder and throwout bearing
-Installed the LPE shift knob on my Hurst Short Throw (instead of the hurst ball...I know this isnt really the driveline but still, feels great!)

I have a few more on the To-Do's list but thats whats been done so far. I think I am going to put Redline back in the trans once I finish the break in on the other parts. I was very happy with how it performed before. I am going to try amsoil instead of mobil 1 for my next oil change as well. Changing the spark plugs and cleaning out the vararam as well as a few other things for my spring tune up. Getting ready for racing season!

I need to just make a build thread in that section (I know, I know...).

Anyway, car feels great so far! Im dying to smash gears but taking it easy during the break in period! Been driving her around town as well as on the freeway and everything feels awesome. I cant wait to get her out to the track (or line up next to someone on the street, closed course professional drivers of course). Last summer was ruined by snapping axles on the street, grenading my rear end at C5Fest, and my clutch giving out in the fall!) but I got the Hammerhead nowwwwwww!

I have a facebook page if you wanna follow my upcoming racing season and other updates! https://www.facebook.com/camarogirl5

Thanks for reading!

It feels more solid and more responsive. There is no play. Not sure how to explain it but I'm in love. This is how camaros should feel! I can't wait to launch it and see how that feels.

So now that its warming up here in Michigan (a little bit, like 55 degrees!)...I took my car out and did some pretty good road testing today. Everything is broken in now so I figured it was time to smash some gears! Bottom line...it feels AWESOME! Its smooth (took it to 140mph with no problems), its strong, its responsive! The clutch chatter is going away a little bit. Going thru gears feels different, the clutch grabs great! and the whole car just responds, I nailed 4th gear and the dash jumped! The 2nd gear grind is still there but I could still pull it into 2nd rather then it blocking me out so thats an improvement.

Overall, I am very happy...finally drove the car into the garage with a huge smile on my face rather than disappointment.
