it seems like camaros are winning shows all over because they are "new" i think the people who restored junk camaros to fully working beauty's should win no offense but its a little unfair

a buddy and i had this same discussion the other day. a brand new car should not win a award. we figure this class is won by whoever has the newest/rarer car. |

It shouldn't but it does still amaze me how we can put up a fun post and show some pride in our car and a few azz hoes have to decide to get way off the topic and make it ugly. Thanks girls. FYI this was an open show for any car. They had 25-30 different classes. We did not unfairly get anyone's trophy since we were entered in a stock new models class. We are not and will not be regular participants in car shows. This particular one was a fundraiser for Cancer. The idea of the show was originated by a Cub Scout who loves cars and whose father has cancer. We received word of the show from a fellow scouter and thought we could contribute our car (and entry fee) to give lots of folks a chance to see the new Camaro. We even asked the organizers if they would like to have the car in the show. Winning anything was the farthest thing from mind when we drove in. Although winning the class was fun and exciting, the real win was for a Cub Scout, his family and the hearts they touched that day. I was proud to share this car with the hundreds of people who stopped to look, to take pictures and just reminisce about the Camaro. So girls get off my thread and find the forum for Car Shows and post your thread about how you think all car shows should exclude current stock models. Then Kiss mine.

Well don't let that bother you. It's just part of the web and forums for a little kitchen heat. It's par for the course. Just play thru.

I'm thinking you are right. Each registrant got to judge. There were several Mustangs but only 1 2010 Camaro. Ford votes got split and folks were excited to get an upclose look at the new Camaro. The old cars and mods were so much fun to look over. I'm not a gear head, I just enjoy the way they look and the nostalgia.

Cool that you got to show off a little, and hopefully help out a lot. The real winner was that scout who felt he was helping out his dad and others.
Sounds like a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
