Rear gears for A6

Ok, has anyone heard of anything other than the one company making gears for the A6? I think they were 3.55's or something....I would like to drop the gearing lower than that, but will take the 3.55 if I have to. I just don't want to buy these gears, then find out a month later that other ones are about to be released....

a6 v6 have an open rear. In order to get 55's or 73's you will need to get an ss or v6 6m differential and then buy new gears. You will also need to drive shaft. Contact Tracy and see if he still has one for sale. I was going to buy it from him but the bills hit me.

richmond offers 55's which is what I assume he is looking at, but that is the only option to my knowledge without the swap.

So is it not possible to get lower gears or is it just because no one has made the different gears? Sorry, I'm new to gears.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the size of the auto's differential restricts how low of a gear you can fit in it.

Anyone make they change? Did you notice more torque?
