2nd Annual Texas Wide Camaro Meet
Alright guys I'm going to try this again if I can get enough of you interested. The last meet up in Austin was a blast for all and a great opportunity to meet some very nice people and their beautiful rides. I am planning to shoot for the first or second weekend in March for this go round so it's a little bit cooler. I would like to get some vendors involved in this one so they can show off their new toys to us. I am also hoping to work out a track day if there is enough who would be down for that. There will be a cruise again but this time it will be a lot more organized with signs out marking the routes and turns. (live and learn) For now this is just a preliminary post to gauge everyone's interest level so please stay tuned. Hopefully we can see a ZL1 there this year!!! Hope to see you all again!!!! Please be sure to answer the poll.
The San Antonio club has very graciously offered to lend a hand with this one and given me what I believe is a great idea. (we shall see if you guys like it) In the interest of keeping this event changing and exciting I think each year I will enlist the help of a different Camaro club to help with the planning of the event on their turf, this is of course dependent on you guys agreeing with this idea. As S.A. was the first to offer this time, we would more than likely hold the event in their town. (Riverwalk, dragstrip, Texas hill counrty cruises, plenty of hotels, did I mention Mexican food?) Perhaps, next year Houston, and then Dallas, maybe even down in South Padre for you RGV boys. I think this will give everyone a chance to be involved and help this event to grow even bigger with each club wanting to outshine the one before. All you club leaders out their feel free to give me your thoughts. Stay tuned, this is happening and it will be bigger and better than last year. I plan on extending the invite to New Mexico and the surrounding states as I received a lot of messages last time that they would have come down if they had known. Maybe we can grow our own little C5 Fest. Last edited by DMDTexAg06; 12-19-2011 at 08:32 AM. |
