brake dust

I'm getting a lot of black brake dust residue on my wheels and lower body due to the carbon metalic pads. Anyone have experience with ceramic pads? Using ceramics will certainly eliminate brake dust but what about brake performance?

I am glad I got the midnight silver RS wheels to help hide the dust.

I have Hawk Performance Ceramic on my 2003 G35 Coupe and they eliminated the dust completely, none yet for the Camaro.

I too have the midnight silver wheels! I just found Hawk Performance ceramics on ebay for $239 so I guess they are making them now!

I can't answer whats available for the 5th Gen. regarding brakes, but as far a ceramic brake pads go, I put them on my Jeep G.C., and aside for a slight "squeal" when cold, they perform great with very minimal brake dust.

I really hope that these are all they are cracked up to be. People who have used them swear by them though.

yeah i think they are completely worth it

just remember they don't eliminate brake dust they just don't put out black dust that shows up so easily with metallic pads
