Without looking, I predict at least a 90% recommendation for the Camaro V6, 5% questioning why waste your money buying a V6 (or thinking it) and the remainder recommending other (saving for a SS, buy a Challenger, wait for the ZL1, buy mods first, etc).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the new 2012 v6 Camaro getting a lighter updated engine of the 3.6L good for 323 horsepower, and up to 30 mpg? Anyways I'd still prefer the Camaro, but i think both v6 cars are great considering they're both good looking, over 300hp, and decent fuel economy.

Wow this could be a new Camaro5 record. It took a whole 7 ,count them 7 posts, to go from a Camaro vs. Mustang poll thread to turning into a V8 vs. V6 bashing thread. Simply amazing.

Is this were all the V6 guys get offended and start throwing around accusations of anatomical insecurity towards the V8 guys?
Then again, what the hell do I know. I've got a four banger'. |

who are you to even say anything about this you dont even have any of the vehicles being discussed here. Alot of people that do have v6's either wanted good gas mileage or didnt want to pay for the outrages insurance price of a v8 b/c there to young. Than there are some that just like the 6 better than the 8. this argument its getting ridiculous just answer the question to the OP about which one you consider the best bang for the buck. Which doesnt mean it has to be only performance since it states bang. Everyone that starts these arguments both from the ss guys and non ss guys need to stop ganging up on each other there both camaros there both good looking and both have purposes and to most of the general public people dont even know the difference between the 8 and the 6. So now can we just all get along and stay together in one big happy camaro family that doesnt want to kill everyone

If you get the best v6 and a 2ss and put them next to each other there are only a few minor differences. Engine, front bumper( ss has grill on top )and the brakes. What else?

Well, let's be honest here. The only reason you buy a V6 over a V8 is because you either, A, don't care about performance, or B, can't afford a V8. No one that cares about performance willingly buys a V6 if their finances permit otherwise. And no, I don't consider a V6 pony car, be it a Mustang, Camaro or Challenger to be the better bang for the buck. Spend the extra $5k and step up to the big boy car. |
