Exclamation 2011 Camaro Convertible continues testing down under! (spyshots)

From homepage

This preproduction Camaro convertible was spotted in Australia just this week.
Even though the production of the cabrio has been delayed until 2010, it's great to see it still in testing.... reminds me that it's definitely coming, just a bit later than originally expected.

It's been a while since we've had a preproduction Camaro convertible sighting.
The last sighting was more than 6 months ago -- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5600

It's about time! Lookin good
1SS?
From the look of the right front tire, they've been riding it hard.

Actually there is a small company in Queensland (In Australia) that imports Corvette's, converts them and charges just over AUS$200K per car.
Houston we have a problem.
All we can do is drool when we see the pictures that are posted.
Have fun with that awesome piece of machinery.

Looks like left hand drive is heading your way!! Monaro

Nice, but I think they need to do some more testing in a car wash

Not sure i like the third brake light on the trunk lid like that. I think it would be better integrated into the spoiler. Other than that i love it.

BTW, for everyone who ordered black, that is what your car is going to look like dirty. Yikes! Thanks for posting Tran. It is nice to see that testing is continuing on the convert.

I wouldn't worry about that too much, yet. There's still a good chance they integrate it. This is a cobbled-together exterior in order to allow for driving on the streets of Australia.

Thanks, Tran!!

That would make sense.... it does sort of look "thrown on" there.

Seeing black that dirty makes me wanna cry. :(

I thought the Vert was delayed indefinately. I haven't paid attention. This is REALLY good news to me. I can't buy my Camaro til early 2010 anyway. I wonder if it will be out in the "year" 2011 or maybe later 2010 as a 2011 model? I can wait til later in 2010 but there is NO WAY I will be able to hold off much longer than that. Vert or no vert. Soft tops have never looked good to me but THIS looks good. I'm torn.

Proof once again that a filthy black Camaro could be mis-interpreted as cyber gray.

Roof

Wow....the roof looks almost identical to the one my mustang has...

I wonder if it's operated in the same way.....(ie. electric motorized)?
Mine has a button that retracts the top....

heres what im talking about for reference....
