Magnuson installed--now exhaust baffles don't close!
My red Magnuson supercharger is installed on my black 1LE. Driving home, I thought the car sounded loud starting off from a stop. When I stopped in to show my brother the set up, I noticed the outer exhaust baffles were open with the car just idling. I really want the exhaust to be quiet if I'm driving around town. With Kooks headers and off road mid pipes, I'm loud enough!!! What did we do when installing the supercharger that basically turned off the open/close exhaust baffle?
Now, my mechanic friend couldn't figure out what the last lonely line was so we called Jannetty Racing. The tech said it was for the open/close exhaust baffle. We spliced it into the brake booster vacuum line. Did we splice into the wrong line? The vacuum line for the MSDS fuel pump voltage booster hasn't been hooked up to the supercharger yet. I ran the line down the passenger side, but decided it would be easier () to go down the driver side. Would that make a difference? |

I believe the baffles are always open at idle.

Correct... the butterflies are open at idle... they will close once you rev it until you hit 4k rpm and then they open again.

They stay open on idle as mentioned above...I purchased the mild2wild switch and can toggle between always open or always closed. If you have home link you can program it to those buttons and ditch the key fob. I love my Maggie and know you will too
