BdS5gen Camaro build
It all started a little over a year ago on Jan 31st 2011. I went into Rotolo Chevrolet in Fontana California to purchase a 2011 Chevy Equinox. I had recently sold my wifes 2007 Camry a few days earlier. When I arrived at the dealer my 3 year old son Gavin said "look at the vroom vroom car daddy" pointing at a Camaro. I thought to myself that I work hard and deserve a car like that. I went for a test drive and said I'm going to get this Camaro. I had the salesperson run the number's and it was within my budget. I then signed the paper's and was leaving the dealer in a brand new 2011 Victory red LS. Believe it or not my wife did not get mad at me for not getting her the Equinox.
The next morning I went to a local shop looking for some wheels for my Camaro. I hated the way the Heritage wheels looked on the Camaro. I found some 22x9.5 Velocity wheels I thought would look great on the red Camaro. The rims I ordered were polished with black accents. When the rims arrived at the shop they were black with a polished face. I was dissapointed that they were not the ones I ordered. They said once they were mounted on the vehicle I would be amazed how the black would look on the red Camaro. They mounted them up and indeed happy how they look. This rim set up filled in the wheel wells perfect. I was happy with the car looked for a few months till I found out about Camaro5 forums. Once I logged on I seen all thes awesome Camaro's and wanted to do more to my Camaro. The next thing I wanted was a rear wing and front valance. I decided I liked the Rksport wing and valance. The good thing about Rksport is that there located about 20 minutes from my house and was able to save on the shipping by picking it up locally. I was able to purchase some Eibach springs for a awesome price from forum member Marine1991. Thank you David. I also purchased some Eibach swaybars. I was able to install all the parts myself with the help of my son Justin. The same day I took the brake calipers apart and painted them black to hide how small the v6 brakes look. Once I get the Brembo's I will have those painted red. The Camaro handle's so much better and has a much better stance. This past month I had the hood and roof painted to give the car a little different look then stock. To give the engine compartment some color I spent a afternoon painting the engine cover red and grey. I also fabricated a intake myself and added a k&N filter. I liked to take my Camaro on cruises and meets with IECC, Headturners, SoCal race team. I want to thank all the members of these club for the fun times and motivation to do more to my Camaro. Here is a list of mods. Exterior Back painted roof and hood Tinted tail lights Tinted windows black paited emblems and Camaro lettering Heritage grill Street scene lower grill Rksport spoiler. Rk sport front valance 22" velocity wheels with 265/35/22 tires Performance Flowmaster exhaust with 4.5" tips K&N intake Suspension Eibach springs and sway bars

Nice Ride
BDS5GEN, You have an outstanding looking Gen5. I REALLY like the wheels. They look real close to the Gianelle Cancun...which was my 2nd choice!....Congrats on a nice build....
