Had a mouse under the hood of my Bonneville. Peanut butter works best for me to trap them.

So I'm working on being able to park my car in my garage (currently lives outside) but until then I've put a trap under the car. I was previously planning on painting my engine cover soon but now I'll need to get a new one first, anyone have any idea where to find one? I did a little digging and was only able to come up with painted ones for $200+ and one site that sold the OEM cover for $400! I might start a new thread about this too, since people might be interested.

I was vacuuming the leaves out of the cowl area that have blown in there the other day and found a couple of pieces of cracker and a peanut. My wife has been feeding the local squirrels and she said one of them jumped on my car and was trying to get under the back side of the hood. Needless to say I was not amused.

Mice seem to love the area underneath the engine compartment fuse blocks on Avalanches, check your wires carefully. For some reason, wire insulation is a mouse delicacy.
