6.2 Best Exhaust Setup?

Hey everyone.

I recently got my 2016 Camaro 2SS 6M and have been doing some research on what aftermarket exhaust setup would fit me best for what I am looking for. I am sure this has been posted and talked about before but I wasn't able to find much info. My fiance has a 2020 Mustang GT with the Roush Axel-Back exhaust and it sounds amazing. I've been wanting something that sounds as aggressive and deep as that but haven't been able to find anything that really matches it. Any opinions or suggestions for what system I could run to get that deep and aggressive sound I am looking for? Check the link below for reference regarding the Roush Axel-Back.

I appreciate any and all comments and suggestions!

The Mustang and Camaro exhausts sound different due to engine design and exhaust flow so the Mustang sounds deeper.

Hello, does your Camaro have one tip out each side or two out each side.

This is what I went with after a ton of research and I absolutely love it. Much deeper than stock with a really aggressive bark. https://youtu.be/EscQfhHBnC4

The stock dual mode exhaust. Sounds better with age as the metal seasons. Less crackle and pop with age.

I heard several Borlas and Corsas in person, and would have also considered AWE (along with many others here) if they offered NPP valves.

These aftermarket exhausts are all top notch, but the stock NPP exhaust is very good, too. The only possible complaint I see there is the WOT rasp that gets a bit stronger with long tube headers. As stated above, it mellows out a bit with age, but a slightly deeper rumble would still be nice.

Oh, and let's not forget the aero effect of the ugly, but useful stock suitcase muffler, these third party exhausts all create huge cavities in front of the diffuser, the airstream squeezes against it pretty strongly, causing turbulences. I painted the suitcase matte black with high temp paint, which blends well into the rear underbody.

AWE all the way!!! I have the full (resonated) cat back with the touring mufflers and it’s epic looking and sounding. If you do however want to retain NPP, everyone says nothing but good things about Borla. Either way, you won’t go wrong

Long tubes with stock NPP sounds great. it will loud as hell though. However no drone at all from inside.

2" headers, x-pipe with hi-flo cats, and axle back Corsa with NPP (Quad)- tuned so NPP/valves does not close in Sport/Track mode- also tuned to remove that "cat warm up" mode/crap which sounds horrible (No drone but very loud with current mods)

Absolutely love Borla, had one on my other car but they are freaking expensive!

I have read from others on the forum about removing the stock suitcase creating a parachute/turbulences. Just curious, how many people do we know of, removed their stock suitcase, then determined that it slowed their car down at the track, then re-installed the stock suitcase? I'm wondering because I want to remove it.

I would like to get an axleback right now. The track AWE interests me because it is light weight due to being just pipes, sound and cleans up that big mass with the stock suitcase. But the thing that's stopping me is I'm worried how bad it will sound after I put FULL exhaust on the car. Anyone know what FULL exhaust sounds like with the AWE track axleback?

I like it, however, to me, that doesn't sound much more aggressive than stock. At least, not as aggressive as I am looking for. I think after doing some research this might be the best option to fit what I am looking for.

I think you are on the right track .. but from what I looked into, I think that the non-resonated might be the best sounding in my opinion. AWE definitely seems to be the best sounding from what I've looked into so far!
