265 is a tough number. If you look at the Keating or the Shelby American or Mosler, they have as much power as cars like ours, but a lot less cd and they still struggle around the 265/270 mark. You also have the Veyron. These cars all run 1100+ hp.

Something about going 1-1/3 football fields every second is just a little crazy... Yeah, I could see ya doing that.

Well not to compete with my own customer but we have been working on a motor with GM Performance for a while and a body in white specifically intended to go 300 in the standing mile (lofty goal but what isn't) 9.7 tall deck with a 4.250 stroke and LSX circle track heads and twin 80mm turbos. We know the turbos will make upwards of 2800hp in big T6 frames but GM wants us to keep it at 2300hp. In any case our goal is to be the fastest stock body Gen 5. I hear there are a few other shops going for it too

Your car will go 265 and nothing will fly off of it - all you need to do is reinforce the nose so it does not go concave. As an example in 1983 I drove my daily driver Camaro at El Mirage dry lake bed to a speed of 241 and a few months later it went 260 at Bonneville – it only had 700hp. We came back with a 1200hp motor but the event was rained out. We still have the car but now it is in the Granatelli Museum - http://mrindy500museum.org

That is agood point - but I bet a Veyron could go faster with a few nips and tucks - look at Koogle - he ran 300+ in a 85 T/A with 950hp

I remember (John) Lingenfelter's T/A going 298 with 1400 and Eakers driving using nitrous to cool the intercoolers...

Who, Me??? Heck Yeah... I did not build it to go slow... Cruisin is cool, but Flying gets me high...

The car may go that fast with some tweaks, but not in a standing mile.... I would need heaps more power than I currently have.... I would be tickled to join the 200 mph club one time...

If the gearing and the IAT's allow it, then possibly, but I'ld be happy as a clam as above, joining the standing mile 200 mph club... and it's not competing with a customer, as what your doing is a way different class... I can tell you that Brandi goes 170 in a heartbeat and is still pulling like a freight train... In 6th, you can hear the turbo's spool up to full boost... What a rush... I remember someone else talking about loosing ground in 6th, and I was still pulling really hard, fairly low in the rpm range... shifted out of 5th at around 5800 rpm.... 822 ft/lbs of torque does not give up easily... It pulls and pulls and pulls...

I also know 800hp is more than enough to get you into trouble real fast if you are not paying attention
It appears as if Brandi will finally get to take part in a photo shoot. Kyle is working with his photographer and some models for a shoot with girls and solo shots of Brandi... More to follow.... Three cars, over 2000 hp, good times... Can't wait...I also have a coworker friend that is almost finished with his rebuilding of a Vette that is about the same color as Brandi... Our company has a quarterly magazine and we are going to work together to see if we can get some pics for the back cover of the mag. Our company sponsors a bicycle racing team, and they were featured on the back cover, so maybe...
