door sill removal

i am looking to replace my factory door sills new gm transformer ones. it looks like the factory ones are just stuck down with tape, is this the case? best ideas for removal?

If throwing them away. Lots of pulling and goo gone. If trying to save fish line (could scratch paint) or I have used nylon string (won't scratch) to wiggle back and forth under whatevers stuck on and the goo gone to remove adhesive

That pretty much sums it up. Booth the transformers GM one and the stock GM ones are just a stick on.

If you can get them off without damaging them I may be interested in buying them off you.

i think i'd might like to try to save them. in either case is it easier to heat them up first?

Try to heat up the metal around the door sill no the sill itself. You be surprised how easy this works
