CONGRATS....but a carseat will fit in the back if you slide the passenger seat all the way up

It will fit, In fact it has the special car seat hooks on the back shelf if you look at it. I had an ex with a little one. Like was said. Put the passenger seat all the way up and you can get it in. You won't be able to leave the kid in it when you take it out. (She did that a couple times in my SUV. Just unhooked the seat and carried it and the kid in all at once. lol.)

A kids car seat (Front facing for kids over 1 year and 20 pounds) fits easily. An infant car seat (rear facing) does not fit well at all. And you can forget trying to use on of the car seats that is a carrier with a car seat base. The carrier won't fit in and out of the car, even with the passenger seat all the way forward.

As a mom who refused a mini van and had infants in a 3rd gen, The initial infant car carrier / seat might be a tight fit. Since it has to be rear facing. Definitely put it in on the passenger side. Still Will not be too comfortable for any passenger of average to tall height. Once graduated to the standard forward facing seat, shouldn't be that bad. Watch your seats because their feet will constantly be on it.

Shouldn't be a problem at all (except getting it in and out of the car past the front seats).

We have a four year old and a two month old. the four year old is in a booster, and fits fine. the two month old rides in a graco car seat with base, so the base is always in the car but the seat we can just grab and go. it takes some maneuvering, but it can be done.

whoever's riding shotgun (usually will be my wife) better have skinny legs though!

It works, but it's a tight fit.

Car Seats

I had a booster and a car seat in back of my camaro when I gave one of my friend a ride. I guess I didn't mind. But I had nice muddy footprints all over my leather front leather seats from the kids kickingNo more brats riding in my cars. I still have kids in my backseat but not brats

I don't know about the rear facing infant seats. That could be tricky getting the "bucket" out. But the toddler forward facing booster type seats fit fine. My 4YO has no problems getting into her seat. I step one foot into the back, fasten her in (or out) and away we go. I find being able to set into the back much easier than my wife's four door Malibu where I have to sit down to buckle my kid in place. One of the reasons I was given the green light to purchase the car was because both my wife and daughter fit in the car just enough for it to be comfortable. When just me and my little one, as stated, with the passenger seat all the way forward, it's no issue at all.

But again, you are concerned about the bucket...I don't even have our old one anymore that I could try it out. There are different brands and they come in different sizes...you are just going to have to try it out.

edit - sorry, I had the whole thing written out, and then someone came by to find out how my testing was going...I see there are many other responses. Which is good

Oh, congrats on being a dad though! Amazing times are ahead for you.

Congrats YES they do fit with NO problems.

I have a 2year old and a 6month old and I transport them both in my 2LT/RS on a daily basis. My 2yr old sits behind me (forward facing) with my seal almost all of the way back. My 6month old daughter is rear facing and the seat is pushed all the way forward and my wife can travel in the passenger seat with no problems (she is 115 lbs and 5' 7")

If you need pics let me know

Congrats

Sean
