Hey, where is the damn exhaust ? Dontcha know it is ILL-Legal to run without 'dem things.. Put them back on there... P.S. I used Spohn Del-Sphere components on the rear of the SST. Agree that they are 1st rate pieces. |

Damn man, it always seems like something, huh? Could the stock piece be failing due to the increased stiffness of the sway bar?

Just me and 1 other member so far. Plus I think 3 cases a Pfadt vendor said they had. I'm at a total loss. I'm not sure what is going on. BOTH have failed now. And the second one AFTER I replaced the first one. I've looked the whole system over and it's installed perfectly. Not sure how to proceed. Obviously I gotta replace this arm too. Go from there I guess. The sway bar rotates like it's supposed to. It's not twisted. |

How long does it take to install a control arm? Is it difficult? I may just buy a set from Spohn and put them in myself if it's not too hard to do.

Randy follow me here for a minute. Each car is different. When I talked about FI with Vengeance they explained to me that FI gave you immediate power, more low end HP, Torque etc and it was quicker because it was more immediate versus a cam that would kinda roll into it over a power band so to speak.
Although we have similar numbers yours is achieved totally different than mine and you put more immediate stress on your suuspension than mine. Since we pretty much have the same car, well until the coil overs do you think that the added increase of immediate torque has anything to do with it since torque is what breaks things? Just throwing out ideas. |

But I'd plan on a couple hours if you've never gotten into it before. Mostly because you and me think similarly as far as gathering info and being curious. What takes me longer when I do something I've never done before is getting in there and seeing WHY they did it that way and learning as much as I can out of the project AND the surrounding parts of the project. Get a good breaker bar..... Quote:
But, I think Pete is also on to something. If my bolts had gotten loose, they could have weakend the metal being allowed to move as the were bound. I just don't know. |

OK so now you just need to replace the second original, I understand now. I sure hope that works for you Big Dog.

PQ I can't tell you how valuable it is, to me, that you have posted all the pics and videos of this process. Thanks for taking the time to do this. The reason you had to do it sucks, but you given me and anyone else thinking of doing this themselves a lot of insight to what's what under there.
Now just keep it straight and get to the fest!

GTAHVIT is coming in tomorrow. He'll stay here tomorrow night and me and him leave, driving in tandem, to the fest.
Bonnie will catch a flight later in the week. |
