tempting offer on camaro

I just got quoted $425 a month with $4500 out of pocket for 39mos and 12k miles a year on a v8 dusk edition camaro. Sticker is $45k...seems like a damn good deal to pass up....the dusk edition is my favorite, so why SHOULDNT I make the deal??? Thoughts?? Thanks

Leases are always a bad deal for the buyer if you have any intentions on keeping the car beyond the lease term.

So they are expecting the dusk edition camaro with 39k miles on it in 39 months to be worth around 23-25k.

Just buy one, leasing is horrible when you think about it, if you get in an accident say good bye to you money in your wallet and if you go over the mileage you can say. Good bye to the money in the bank to, just eliminate the middle man and buy the car.

$26k....which sounds about right to me....obviously a lease isn't for everyone...you do lose a little bit of $ over a purchase....but for me works as a nice easy way to get a new car in 3yrs.

I have never leased, I have had too many friends get royally screwed on both mileage and minor inperfections when they turn in the car. They will inspect the car with a microscope to find any reason to hammer you! Beware.

Leasing is the same as renting.
You pay $4500 down and pay $425/mo for 39mo and then have nothing to show for it.
Better off paying $4500 down and making payments of $425/mo for 60mo and own it at the end.

Don't lease, I did that 17 or 18 yrs. ago and my ass is still sore, lesson learned. If you have to have a new car every 3 years, buy it and trade it in in 3 years, you will still lose money but not as bad as when you lease.

Wait a minute I lease a new Escalade every 2 years and it works great. The only reason I didn't lease my Camaro is because I wanted to mod it. If you stay under on miles and don't mod it you will be fine with a lease. I own a car lot and have been in the business for 15 years. Go for it.. I would try to work them a little on a payment. Check into a 24 month lease also. My 24 month was lower on me Escalade and every 2 years I get a new one. Free matanence the whole time I have it..
