Had a sports bike try to race me
Last night I was going home late and was cruising at 70 on the freeway. 70 is the speed limit. This sports bike (not sure what it was cause it was a bit custom/crappy. Maybe a Yamaha) comes up next to me and just sits right next to my door obviously wanting to race. So to get rid of him I down shift to third and floor it. I then watch him take off. I then go back to 70.
I still can't comprehend why a guy on a sports bike wanted to race me. As if I even had a chance. Apparently the mighty 1LE intimidated him. These cars are fast but not that fast. Some peoples' children. Disclaimer: I also ride a bike. |

I forgot the part where he then got back over to the right lane and slowed down so that I had to change lanes to pass him. Then he took off again. Cruise was at 70 the whole time. I so just wanted to bump him.

Been burned by a Busa B4 ,many times, In much faster cars than the Camaro . Simple rule , avoid running big sport bikes .

Those sport bikes are no joke. I learned the hard way years ago. You've gotta be really built to handle one of them.

It's called kids being stupid - I had a bike to, not a sportbike, a Yamaha Warrior. An aluminum framed 102 CID crusier - just a tad quicker than an SS Camaro, but I was never an ass like that to anyone. Best way to deal with them is not bite. The slowing down to make you pass and then taking off? Just stay behind them - turn on your brights and lay down on the horn...

Had the same happen a couple of times so far. Maybe it is intimidation. I dunno and I dont oblige them.
Interestingly the Harley guys give me thumbs up or a helmet tip. They get it. It isnt about pure fast. It is about style and class too. |

I doubt anyone with a sportbike is intimidated by our cars.

This is a true one, i was coming home from work around 1am and a bike was next to me he was just waiting for me to floor it, a head of us about 1/4 down the freeway nice turn on the bridge so about 1/8 of the mile i down shifted in third around 70 mph he passed me for about 2 cars lane when we got to that turn on the bridge we were going about 115-120 or at least thaw how fast i was going, on that turn i passed him for about 3-4 cars lane and when we got to the straight line he asked me to roll down the window and was asking me how much HP i was putting down. For you guys with 1le camaros this should sound normal but for him was hard to explain that such a car can do so much

If a bike is a 600 or more then forget about it. The smaller ones we can beat as I have done so before

I have a 1998 GSX-R750 that turned a 10:51 in the 1/4 mile, and by todays standard it's a slug..
