Poor Dealer Service

I thought a thread should be started for dealers performing terrible service. I'd like to see a sticky so that others can post here and see where to NOT bring their vehicles.

1. Lannan Chevrolet of Lowell, MA - Brought my car in for a paint issue in the rear quarter panel, work was denied, and the Service Manager still claims the issue was caused by rock chips. GM Customer Care had to have me go to another dealer because of this dealers complete lack of Customer Service. Standard Oil change was 109.00 after being quoted 90.

So as not to hijack the thread is it limited to experiences with the Camaro or can we vent about all experiences? Thanks

I'd say any Chevy dealer, but most people might just want to know about "The Camaro Experience"

Standard Oil Change = $109!!!!! Even at $90!!!! Are you kidding!?!?!? Man, I'm glad I do my own oil changes!!!

I know what you mean though, I got ripped-off at a repair center (not a dealer though)the other day for a serpentine belt (not on the Camaro). They tried to charge me $90 for a stinkin' belt (just for the part itself, labor was separate)!!!! I raised holy h@!!, and the manager called me back today and said it was a "fat-finger" mistake, yeah right!!!

Even $90 for and oil change is crazy unless it's a diesel or something.

I'd say any dealer service. Just provide the name and state.

OK thanks, My pick would be Hilltop Ford in Richmond, CA. I own a small fleet of F150's for my business(I'd have bought Chevy's but our local dealer never seemed interested in my business). They charge me $150.00 just to hook it up and diagnose problems and do not credit the 150 when its warranty work.

Almost without fail they will try to say something is wrong that the warranty doesn't cover. The servce manager called one time and said I don't know what you ran over but you have a broken axle seal and a bent axle, it'll cost you $1300.00 to fix it. I called BS and went down there and said show me, of course they couldn't. Cancelled my fleet account with them and now they call me once a month to reconsider. End of rant

That's what I told them and they didn't seem to care much. They had a take it or leave it attitude so I left it and started going to Albany Ford in (of course) Albany CA, $65 to diagnos and they credit me if its warranty work. Much friendlier too.
