Hey guys,
I live in Texas right now with 93 gas and am going to be moving back to AZ in the June/July time frame. Granted when I lived in AZ, I always had decent performance cars, but nothing like I have now. The car sits at about 500rwhp now. Is there a HUGE difference between 91 and 93 that is just going to make the car fall on its face performance wise? I have been playing with the idea of stripping the car and just getting a truck so I can run 87, but dont want too because I love my car and have waaay too much time and money invested in it, but dont want to be disappointed with a huge loss. Does anyone out there thats hi-perf run fuel additives? I used to Torco Accelerator in my other cars when I lived there but at 8mpg city, I cant afford to do that. Thanks for the help!

You can always mix 100/91 to get 93 but that might be just as expensive as Torco..I did it a few times to my ZL1 but I never kept up with it so I stopped.

Id rather no additives unless its a race night if I can help it. I rarely rev my car past 3krpm so 90% of the time itll be fine, but its those quick onramps to prove to yourself youre not dead that Im worried about! Just dont want to be knocking down the road. Guess Ill just have to do some datalogging when I get there and make adjustements accordingly. Was just wondering how everyone else handles it.

Can't even get 93 around here. 91 is king. 6400' altitude takes some of the fun away..

Just incase anyone was wondering, 93 to 91 makes a HUGE difference! Ive been back for 3 weeks now so Ive run 2 tanks of 91 through the engine. I decided to do a quick onramp the other night, and that engine was knocking like a mother! Was hoping to wait to get retuned until my extra differential got back from Jannetty, but it looks like it wont wait. Calling CPR in the next couple days to see if they can fit me in!

I live in Houston, TX but am currently in the Gallup, NM area for work. I don't know if its the altitude or the 91 oct gas, but I can definitely notice a loss in power and I'm bone stock. Is it enough to say the car is dead.. no...
