Got my LG 42'' 1080p and all the works and all that for $800 from Best Buy. I'd just go to Best Buy and check out the sales they have. Mine usually has a dozen boxes of 42'' Tv's that they're getting rid of.

I love my Vizio 42 lcd 120 hz. At least $300.00 cheaper than anything in it's class last December and their service has been exceptional.

Anyhow .... I'm now looking for a 37 to 40 inch LCD or LED-LCD TV ..... really I perfer Samsung but Panasonic and Sony would do, anyone know any good web sites with a crackhead discount
Panasonic's model year just rolled over, you can find some pretty good deals on last years models on eBay. Just take care to only buy from a highly rated power-seller, buy the deal protection (it's cheap), buy new, sealed in box and the warranty will be good, and you can always add a SquareTrade warranty for pennies on the dollar to a manu warranty.

Even with shipping you should be able to beat anything but a give-a-way and LCD's of that size ship just fine.

Tiger Direct has horrible support and return policies.

I have a Westinghouse 42" 1080P and love it.

Check to see who makes the screen, then decide. I think Samsung uses the same screen as Panasonic...but can't remember.

Back when I bought my Samsung LCD, I stood in Best Buy starring and comparing for nearly 2 hours before deciding. The Samsung 52" LCD (with 120Hz auto motion) blew away everything else there.

What model? I bought one simply for playing the video game systems on and preserving the monster Panasonic I have in my living room. the panels are coming unglued inside and now there is a black line down the center of the screen. Glad I bought the warranty. I actually have to go trade it in for a new one tomorrow.

The best out there IMO are the LCD with increased refresh rates (240hz) Sony Bravia and the Sharp (Aquos).

I myself have the first gen Sony LCD from 05 and love it. I also have the First Gen WEGA (05) 55' from Sony.

Right now, I am looking at the 52" HDNA Sony Bravia. Best Buy $2300. Has a great contrast ratio and refresh. I would suggest HDMI cables or THX for HDTV.

Very nice tv's!!!
I have a 40" Sony Bravia XBR. This thing is the nuts. I'm kind of biased with the Sony stuff.

buydig.com has some good prices. I ordered 3 HDTV's, and a Sony Blu-ray player from there.
