Windshield wiper question

I know what you're probably thinking, this is going to be a stupid question and it'll probably sound like it, but I can't figure out the problem at all. For some reason my windshield wiper fluid isn't deploying when I pull the switch = /. I tried replacing the fuses, I checked the connector on the tank, and yes, there is fluid in the reservoir. Anyone know the problem?

Have you checked the hoses and where the fluid exits to spray on the windshield to see if they are clogged?

I haven't checked the hoses yet. Where are they located? I think it's something electrical because this happened immediately after I got my neon wired.

mine did the same thing, but I found out by accident what was wrong one day. Instead of twisting the end of the lever, try pushing forward on the tab with the windshield wiper fluid picture. it worked on mine

Thanks for the input, but sadly that it isn't the problem. It's recognizing the I'm hitting the lever because as soon as I do the windshield wipers go across the windshield three or four times, but no fluid comes out :(.

They aren't, I checked those. I'm thinking that it could be that the hose to the reservoir has popped off, or it's something electrical.

on my HHR you have to hold the lever for the washer in for a few seconds for the water to spray out and then when you release it the water will quit and the wipers will go 3 or 4 times then park... try that.

I have a quick question. On my 95 when I do the wipers, the fluid sprays all over the winshield like it is supposed to, but them also gets onto the drivers side of the car, and a little on the roof. Something wrong with my sprayer? And my wipers stop in the middle when I stop the wipers, I am guessing thats wrong. I have to play with it to get it back down all the way. Any help here?

All the cars we've owned that just sprays on the windshield have done this and I hate it . I wish someone would become smart enough to add an adjustable pressure control to the sprayer.

Yea this is wrong. They are suppose to keep going for a couple times after you let the control go.

After I let go of the control, they go a few times (1-2 more) and stop in the middle of the windshield

Does it do this when you use them normally? You might need a new motor or control assembly (not sure what it is actually called).

No it does not do this when normal use. When you have them going, like in the raid, it is perfectly fine. Just when turning them off.

Well that's what I meant, if it does it when you turn them off after normal use and not just for rinsing the windshield. Sounds like to me either the motor or the linkage (if only one side does it then most likely it's the linkage).
